- Hacking -
We’re ideally suited to make use of some amazing hacking routes.
From the yard, there are various hack routes to choose from, within easy reach of beautiful surrounding mountains and valleys.
We offer hacks from 1 to 3 hours and there are opportunities for longer day rides including using the horsebox to travel and more.
Please keep an eye on the official message board and the website for any upcoming rides.
For health and safety reasons and for your own benefit, we do insist that new clients have an Assessment Lesson before riding out on a hack. If for any reason we feel that a hack would not be suitable, a lesson will be offered instead.
Children’s hacks- We generally offer hacks for children (under 15’s) in the school holidays where hacks are taken by an instructor and a second escort is provided. We do not provide hacks for children at weekends unless specifically organized by an instructor.
For existing clients, please check suitability with your instructor before booking onto any day rides.

- Shows & Events -
Do you want to take your riding to another level?
We like to give our clients the opportunity to progress with their riding as they wish. One way to do this is by regularly taking horses and riders to local shows.
There are local shows to suit most riders from basic dressage tests and mini show jumping to cross country, hunter trials, and affiliated competitions.
If you think you would like to go to a show the first thing to do is have a chat with your instructor. Then we can find the right show and horse for you. Going to shows also gives you something to work towards and there is nothing more satisfying than winning for the first rosette!

- Pony Parties -
Here at Mountain View Equestrian Centers Inc., we offer Pony Parties for children from the age of 4 years old and upwards.
The Party consists of riding and stable management (learning aspects of horse care such as parts of the horse, saddle, bridle, and grooming).
A minimum of 4 children is required and no experience is necessary.
All options include a ‘Happy Birthday’ rosette for the birthday child and party rosettes for their guests.

**Please note that we do not take bookings via email. Pony Parties are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are very popular so we would recommend calling the office to check for availability as emails do not get picked up at weekends.**
OPTION 1 – For between 4-6 children, comprising of:
45 minutes riding
45 minutes of stable management
When riding, the children will be lead and it will be a combination of fun learning and mounted games. Each child will have their own pony and leader for the ride. Stable management will take place in the yard under the supervision of a member of staff.
£40.00 per child
OPTION 2 – For between 6-12 children, comprising of:
1-hour riding
30 minutes of stable management
The riding is as Option 1 but 2 children will share a pony and be split into teams for gymkhana games. Stable management is as Option 1.
£35.00 per child
OPTION 3 – For between 8-15 children, comprising of:
1-hour riding
30 minutes of stable management
We will provide at least 1 pony per 3 children and riding and stable management areas Option 3.
£30.00 per child
***We do not provide food and drinks but feel free to bring your own and use our portacabin.***
