The Icelandic horse is shorter (almost pony-sized), with a thicker coat than most horses. Also, this horse has a unique trait, it is five-gaited while most horses are only three-gaited. The Icelandic horse displays two more gaits called the tölt and flying pace, these add stability, making your ride smoother. Other unique breeds include the small but fascinating Mongolian horse.
